My Blog: An Apology

Hi, Blog.

I'm sorry I've neglected you, lo these many months. And I'm sorry if I made any mistakes using that turn of phrase. I don't really have an excuse. For either.

You see, I've wrestled with this conflict for a few years now. If something is good enough to be made into a blog, why not make it into a vlog? A YouTube video would get more traffic, it's a more enjoyable experience for someone to watch a vlog, in my opinion, and they're more fun to make.

But time and time again, I find myself linking you, my neglected blog, in the video information. I don't know why I do it, if it's some kind of self-masochism or if I think people still care.

No one really cares about a blog I haven't posted on since January.

But the problem remains the same. What's worth your time that's not necessary for YouTube?

I'm still talking directly to you, blog, yes.

I could talk about how Skyfall and Wreck it Ralph were both great and how I'm excited for Lincoln.

I could say how I went on an epic tri-county search for Twinkies last night and I'll be making a video about it soon.

I could talk about my next parody, about the helium shortage, my ideas for my website, or I could just talk about my day.

I still have some stuff to figure out with this blog.

Hopefully the readers will stick along for the ride. :)

  1. Hi Travis, Your blog asked me to ask you to come back, it misses you so much and doesn't even care that you left it for another type of media.
Your blog says that it doesn't even mind if you post the video`s you make here, on your blog by way of generating more traffic, it thinks you could even do a behind the scenes type thing to give your viewers a more personal touch.

  3. Travis, I don't have a youtube Account so I cannot comment on your videos, but I want you to know you are awesome, fantastic, and wonderful. I fell for your jokes, and I just love your videos. I can't wait to see the Tardis in space video.
    Thanks for reading this.

P.s My favorite doctor who episode is Doomsday, Blink, Journey's End, or Planet of the Ood.
My first ever Doctor who episode was planet of the Ood, and I quit 5 minutes in because I got scared.

    Thanks for noticing me.
